Region 9 - December 2006 Minutes

 

Region 9 held its December meeting on December 13, 2006 at 7:30PM with Region Director Russ Shetley presiding.

General Business:

 

  • There is a new outdoor show scheduled Feb 9th, 10th and 11th in Fredericksburg. More to follow on this event.
  • Elections were held to elect new Secretary, Assistant Tournament Director and Youth Director. Motion by Happy Hookers and seconded by Todd Schaaf to have Raleigh remain Secretary. Motion carried. John Reid volunteered to take the Assistant Tournament Director if we can help with the tubs. Discussion followed with solutions and John is Tournament Director for next year. We still need a Youth Director and Clubs are to report back at next meeting with volunteers for position.
  • NEXT REGION 9 MEETING – JANUARY 19th

  

Tournament News:

 

  • Next Year, there will be no drinking or alcohol allowed at any VA Team Tournaments.
  • Next years 20 Man Team Tournament will be at the same place on the Chick. Region 3 is the host.
  • Region 9 is the host Region for Mr. Bass in 2007. More to follow.
  • State Team Budget – There is a proposal for the Mr. Bass, 6 Man and 20 Man Tournaments to add an additional $ 5.00 fee to help raise money for the VA Federation to offset costs. This will be voted on at the January Board meeting.
  • Jan 20, 2007 is the date for the Open Meeting with the VA Federation Board in South Hill. Ask Russ for time and more details.
