Region 9 -September 2007 Minutes

 

Region 9 held its monthly meeting on September 5, 2007 at 7:00PM with Region Director Russ Shetley presiding.

 

Clubs in Attendance:

 

·         Bad News

·         Bull Run

·         Ebb Tide

·         Fountain Head

·         Mid Atlantic

·         OBC

·         Happy Hookers

·         Red Eye

·         Woodbridge

 

 

General Business:

 

·         For all State Tournaments, if you have a special need for a competitor (handicap, special access, etc..) let Russ know in advance of the tournament.

·         To try and save money, the Tight Lines may become Web Based in the future. Discussion to follow at the State Board meetings in the future. Let Russ know how you feel about the proposed change.

·         Bassarama is under new management. This may affect the boat raffle. More to follow from the State on this issue.

·         Nominations for President and Vice President at the State level. Roger and Charlie were nominated again to fill these positions.

·         The TBF lost over $ 100,000 last year due to members not having FLW #’s. All Clubs must have rosters for 2008 in by December 31, 2007.

·         The Classic Tournament for this week-end, Sep 8 & 9th…The Rocks at Leesylvania will be off limits both Days. Blast Off is at 6:40 AM until 3:00 PM both Days. 5 Fish Limit.

·         Last year the State made $ 8,000 + on the boat raffle.

·         20 Man Team Tournament is on the Chick, Ramada 1776 is Official Site – October 27 & 28th…

·         Region 9 has purchased new weight in bags and they will be the only bags allowed for weigh-ins starting this week-end.
