Region 9 - May 2006 Minutes

 

Region 9 held its May meeting on May 10, 2006 at 7:30PM with Region Director Russ Shetley presiding.

 

Clubs in Attendance:

General Business:

 

  • Region 9 is in need of a Youth Coordinator
  • A correction to last months minutes - The State’s new Conservation Director – Larry Elliott instead of Larry Edwards
  • Butch Sickler will need about 24 boats for the Virginia C.A.S.T for Kids. Please check with your members and see if they can attend the Tournament with their boat on September 30, 2006 at Pohick Park. Let Russ know at the May 31, 2006 Region meeting.
  • Bob Pettey and Russ discussed end of year projected Check Book Balance. One idea is to eliminate paying the hotel expenses for the 20 man team and also to eliminate the $ 50.00 per man money. All Clubs need to discuss this and be prepared to discuss this issue at a later Region 9 meeting. More to follow on this topic.

 

Tournament News:

 

  • Discussion was held concerning Polygraph Tests for each Tournament. No motions were made concerning the issue.
